Two New, Temporary Virtual Meetings While Lambda Center Is Closed Due to Weather

With the temporary closure of Lambda Center, you can join us today, January 25 and tomorrow, January 26 for a 12pm and 8pm Zoom Meeting.

These meetings are separate from the recurring Zoom meeting groups that Lambda hosts. You can join those by going to our website lambdahouston.org and finding the daily / weekly virtual meeting links on the home page.

Re: Emergency Board Meeting – Inclement Weather Response

The Lambda Center Board of Directors convened an emergency meeting today in response to the forecasted freezing weather conditions expected this weekend and early next week.

After careful discussion and consideration of the safety of our members, community, and staff, a motion was presented and unanimously approved to close the Lambda Center on Sunday January 25, 2026 and Monday January 26, 2026.

To ensure continued access to recovery support, the Board has directed that two Zoom meetings per day be scheduled and made available while the Center is closed. Details and access information for these meetings will be communicated separately.

The Board appreciates the cooperation and understanding of our community as we prioritize safety while maintaining connection and support during this weather event.
